Heide
Heide has spent over thirty-years in education, teaching and tutoring students from kindergarten-college age in a variety of public and private schools. The roots of her educational career path and foundation of her philosophy began in Montessori education. Montessori training taught her the importance of individualizing learning to meet each student's unique learning style and how to foster the love of learning in all. Most recently, she has taught middle school math at an IB school. The IB philosophy and the Montessori method of student-centered, hands-on learning, has blended seamlessly with her Dyscalculia Tutor Training. She has certification in general Dyscalulia Tutoring as well as specialized modules in: Fractions, Decimals and Percents, Algebra, and Geometry. She has a passion for teaching the "why" and not just the "how" of mathematics; this leads to students developing number sense and mathematical thinking as they grow in confidence and understanding.
Outside of tutoring, Heide enjoys puzzles, hiking, swimming, kayaking and paddleboarding. She is also a member and head coach for her local all-women dragon boat team.

Susan
With over 12 years of experience in education, Susan Ardila is a passionate educator and Trained Educational Clinician who specializes in helping students—especially those with learning differences like dyscalculia, ADHD, and executive functioning challenges—build confidence and thrive. She brings a deep understanding of how neurodivergent minds learn and a commitment to making math make sense for every student, using personalized, multisensory strategies that turn confusion into clarity.
Susan holds a Bachelor of Education in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M (Summa Cum Laude) and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Math Education from The University of Texas (4.0 GPA). In addition to her classroom experience, she’s completed extensive professional training in multisensory math (including Marilyn Zecher’s Multisensory Math courses), educational therapy (through NILD), and dyscalculia tutor training (through Dr. Schreuder’s Dyscalculia Training Center). She’s also completing certification in ADHD and executive functioning coaching to better support the students she works with every day.
Throughout her career, Susan has served as a curriculum writer, mentor teacher, and campus science facilitator. But her favorite role is working one-on-one with students—helping them achieve those “aha” moments that change how they see themselves as learners.
Outside of tutoring, you’ll find Susan spending time with her husband (often listening to him play guitar), relaxing with a good movie, or creating engaging learning resources. Her sessions are warm, personalized, and always focused on helping each student move forward with confidence.

Claudia
Claudia specializes in algebra and geometry, but she truly enjoys teaching all levels of math. Her passion lies in finding creative ways to help students grasp mathematical concepts while building their confidence. She thrives on making math accessible and enjoyable, especially for students who may feel anxious or uncertain about the subject. What excites her the most is watching students grow in confidence and ability.
Claudia's background includes extensive experience in educational settings where she collaborated with families to foster trust and engage students in learning. She takes pride in celebrating students' progress when they feel empowered and capable.
With years of experience tutoring in Math Reinforcement programs, Claudia has worked one-on-one with a diverse group of learners. This includes students with special needs in special education settings and students in ESOL (English as a Second Language) programs. These experiences have equipped her with the skills to tailor her tutoring approach to each student’s unique needs.
Outside of tutoring, Claudia enjoys crafting with her Cricut machine, making custom cake toppers and t-shirts, and has a passion for crocheting. These hobbies fuel her creativity, which she brings into her teaching to make learning math a more engaging experience.
