Founded by Katie Walker, an experienced math educator with 17 years of classroom experience spanning from 5th to 12th grade, Freedom Mathematics, LLC stands as a beacon of excellence in the world of math education.
Katie's background is diverse, having been a part of various educational settings from public charter schools to district schools. She also boasts a significant track record in facilitating math content-based professional learning in both schools and universities. A proud alumnus of Harvard, Katie holds a Master's in Education and has further enhanced her credentials with a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) from Boston University.
As a former Illustrative Mathematics Certified Facilitator, she demonstrates deep knowledge in that curriculum, its numerous adaptations, and the myriad of professional learning opportunities tied to it.
